Torfaen (Tor-faen) is a principal area in southeast Wales, located between Newport and the Brecon Beacons. It encompasses the urban areas of Pontypool, Cwmbran, and Blaenavon. Blaenavon is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its industrial landscape. The population is approximately 93,000.
